You're Still Here?

Oh my, you must have missed the memo.... I'm not here anymore.

I've moved to

I hope you'll come over and have a look... add me to your reader, blog list, you know, all those usual things. Don't stress, the content won't really change (ok, maybe a little), but it's still me. Just... a prettier blog. Even if I do say so myself.

Miss Ali over at Ali in Wonderland is having a SummerFun Giveaway.

She's created three (yes, THREE) amazing Art Journals that look absolutely, delightfully Summery! I know they would definitely brighten my day, considering it's Winter here. =(

If you duck over to her blog & leave her a comment, you just might get one. But don't all rush over, because I want one too!!!

Pretty New Things

I'm making up for my lack of substantial posts today aren't I? Three in a day?! Lucky you right?

Right!?

I made myself a little purchase yesterday, even though I'm supposed to be saving. I was in desperate need of some new 'everyday' flat shoes, so I thought, "why not?". Besides, I had 10% off!

So, I'd like to formally introduce you to the newest member of my shoe family.

Their names are Connie (she's the shy one in back) and Conrad, aren't they beautiful?

The lady at the store even gave me free socks! =D

My luck didn't end there though!

Now, I have to give you the back story - a couple of weeks ago, Padre went away on business for a week, so I moved back home to keep MD company (aren't I nice?). He has this really 'uncool' pair of old man pyjama pants (and he's not old). I've taken it on as my role to give him grief about them. While he was away though, I spied them and thought... maybe they're comfortable...

As it turns out, they are, and I treated them as my own until he returned. When he found out I'd had a little love affair with his pyjama pants he teased and said he would buy me a pair. It turns out he wasn't teasing.

Yesterday he bought me some!!! So baggy and comfortable and I could live in them forever.

Purple, blue & grey...*sigh* Perfection!

You Don't Love Me

Last one & I'll stop posting about this mess of a love life. I promise.

But you don't love me the way that, I love you
'cause if you did girl you would not, do those things you do
You killed my heart just to see if, I will rise
Above your anger and above your lies
And all I see of you, is when you're not so busy
Oh your not so busy

And you don't love me the way that, I love you
'Cause if you did boy you would not, do the things you do
You turned my life around, before that I am glad
However much I love you this love is getting bad

And oh my darling look at you
The words that only you could use
But you no you'll always be my girl, girl
I'll take you out just for a bite
Show you all the city sites
But you know you'll always be my girl

But you don't love me the way that, I love you
'Cause if you did boy you would not, do those things you do
You killed my heart just to see if, I will rise
And all I see of you, is when you're not so busy
Oh your not so busy

But you don't love me you don't care, woman
And you don't love me you don't care, woman
'Cause you don't love me you don't care, woman
if you don't love me you don't care, woman
Oh woman

Some Poetry

Not sure where this came from - but it was there.

She walks by, wind in her hair, music in her ears
You don't know it but she's moving with the beat

She doesn't stop, she doesn't look, the streets are hers to walk
You know the face is familiar but it's vague at best

She's oblivious to this unspoken turmoil she's created
You don't move, you don't chase, you just stare after her

She will cross your path again, you will notice that beat
And one day you will know the song she walks to

My Sunday

Thank Christ for parents!

I have spent this weekend filling drill holes, putting masking tape everywhere, cutting in around tiles, doors, window frames & skirtings as well as painting the skirting.

I'm finally finishing my house off. I'm working on the living room at the moment, but the bedrooms will need to be done as well. Oh joy.

Padre was kind enough to give up his weekend to help me with everything, which made for very light work.

We've done the first coat in the living/dining/kitchen area but because it was so cold today, it just wasn't drying. It won't take us long to finish off, so we'll do the second coat tomorrow after work.

Thank God my parents have a spare bed at their house. I really couldn't imagine living in this during the next week.

I have to say, it's a little nice being tired at the end of a Sunday. I feel like I've been very productive this weekend.

I Can't Believe It

To anyone who's never seen my blog before, I think I have THE nicest readers in the entire blogosphere.

The other day I was feeling a little upset at how my current relationship was going. I used my blog as a venting ground to just get it out, rather than holding on to it. I was not prepared for the comments that would come out of it. All of them were so full of love & support, I couldn't help but smile & take comfort in my network of readers.

So to the following bloggers, never doubt that you are very much appreciated & will always have a friend in me. Your kind words & never ending e-friendship are what keeps me writing.

I'm one of the luckiest bloggers I know.

ReBlogged

Posted by the gorgeous girl over at ~kittentails~.

This is a post on behalf of my friend, he shall remain un-named for now, as Today he fell in swoon love and would like my help!

Edit: To be read whilst listening to James Blunt – You’re Beautiful ;)

“Public notice to the Subiaco peach; girl with the long black hair, black upper torso shit, black and white skirt, magic peach whom walked to the Subiaco post office in the fiercest of winds, whom kept her eyes closed in the gale to either genuinely protect her peach eyes from the wind, or was attempting to cripple dunce emo men like myself with quakes of unachievable visions of romance.

Subiaco peach that crossed the road and entered the newsagency to purchase the latest edition of ‘Oyster Magazine’ – crossed back and entered Farmer Jack’s supermarket, to purchase emo repellent, oh magic chance master, why present me with such an unattainable urban peach with no real spell to cast, or internet trickery to wedge my foot in the door into her realm of commercial presentation and ginger emo oblivion”.

If this is you, or you know the person involved, contact me and I will put you in touch with dreamboat 2009!

You can either let me know, or let her know directly. Thank you. Any Perth Bloggers - please repost.

Because I Know You Don't Read This Blog

We could be fantastic if you'd just let go.

We could be amazing if you'd let me in.

I feel like I'm being held at arms length.

I don't handle it well & I won't put up with it.

I'm not a toy, but I will break if you treat me like one.

Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise

Bambola? FAIL.

Ever since I hit about 14/15, Mother Dearest told me I needed to cleanse, tone & moisturise. Every morning and every evening. *yawn* I would do it for a few days, maybe a week. In the end I'd simply forget. Maybe 6 months later I'd start again, but with the same result.

As bad as it is, even when I wore make up, I wouldn't take it off. It's not like I cake it on & at the end of the day, it's mostly off anyway. So I'd rinse my face in the shower, and moisturise afterwards.

I have been lucky enough to not have any issues with my face, no acne, just the occasional pimple. As a rule, I have very dry skin and have to moisturise my body without fail. When Winter comes knocking, it just gets worse, my skin dries out like you would not believe.

Yesterday I hit a crossroads, my face had dried out so badly, that even though I'd moisturised that morning, by about lunch time, it was dry again. This meant my concealer/foundation was looking all cracked and in my opinion, just plain gross. I was actually embarrassed.

Doing the shopping last night, a bottle of Biore 4-in-1 caught my eye. I'd never heard of the brand before, it was only $12.99 & it was a cleanser/toner. Worth a shot. Anything was better than nothing right?

Well, it worked wonders, I used it last night AND this morning and my skin looks great. I could feel it working. It has green tea & eucalytpus & it's hypoallergenic (perfect for me).

It's a foam that you rub in, then rinse off, it will take your make up off for you & doesn't feel like it's clogging up your pores. My previous cleanser never made my skin feel refreshed after using it. I recommend it for anyone, especially if you have sensitive skin & haven't gotten results from a different brand. Even if you're just running out of your current cleanser & want to give something else a go. This stuff is brilliant!
